


July 17, 2009 Midnight Madness, Celebrating 30
years, it has become an Oakville
tradition. The street is closed off for
the evening. There is live music in
every block, strolling entertainers and
the best deals in town.
August 7-9, 2009 Downtown Oakville Jazz Festival,
experience a taste of Bourbon Street -
in Downtown Oakville - celebrating 16
years of great Jazz, incredible
shopping and fantastic summer
dining. Enjoy the outdoor
performances by some of North
America's finest talent.
September 19, 2009 Downtown Oakville Fall Festival,
Starts in Town Square at 9am with a
pancake breakfast. There will be hay
rides, face painting and corn on the
cob all day.
October 30, 2009 Tiny Tots on Parade, The
merchants of Downtown Oakville invite
everyone with tots and toddlers to this
fun holiday event. Festivities start at
10am at Town Square, followed by a
walk downtown where the merchants
give out candy to the tots.
November 20, 2009 Downtown Oakville Tree Lighting
Ceremony, The official kick-off to the
holiday season with the lighting of the
tree in Town Square. Santa, Mrs. Claus
and the elves will be there treating
everyone to hot cider and holiday
cheer. The festivities begin at 7pm with
a Christmas Carol sing-along
accompanied by the salvation army
band. Followed by the Tree Lighting at
7:30pm.
November 21, 2009 Santa Claus Parade, A tradition in
Downtown Oakville for over 50 years.
The parade winds through town about
9am, so get here early to reserve your
spot.
November 26 and
December 17 Ladies Night, Attention all
fashionistas! Grab your girlfriends and
head downtown for a night of fun,
fashion and festive fare as several
boutiques and restaurants host special
events to make it a night to remember.
